Time to Get Thankful for Our Innovative Community of Clinicians, Operators, and Technologists 🦃
Let's take a moment between turkey basting and pie eating to appreciate something pretty special: the incredible community of folks who are revolutionizing rehab by embracing technology while keeping the human touch that makes therapy, well, therapy.
Looking through our Community Spotlights, the evidence is compelling.
These therapists aren't just improving patient care - they're redefining what's possible. Take Christopher Gaskins at Neurosuite, who reminds us that technology should "reduce your decision workload and automate repetitive tasks." In other words, let the tech handle the paperwork so you can focus on being the superhero your patients need. Read more: Newsletter #3.
Hiral Khatri turned a basic vision into a tech-powered pediatric therapy business. Starting with a simple subscription box model, she built OT Park into a practice that leverages everything from AI-powered progress tracking to Instagram (11.5k followers and counting) to enhance care delivery. What's impressive isn't the tools themselves - it's how she uses them to enhance rather than replace the human connection at the heart of pediatric therapy. As she puts it, "No one first knew how to use a smartphone, and now we swipe through them effortlessly every day." Read more: Newsletter #2.
Then there's Marlene Handler, who said goodbye to seeing 17 patients a day (seriously, how?) and built a sustainable practice seeing 5 patients a day, 3 days a week. That's not just work-life balance - that's work-life mastery. Read more: Newsletter #6.
Matthew Blye from Luna PT puts it perfectly: technology is just enhancing what therapists already do brilliantly. It's not here to replace anyone - it's here to give therapists their well-deserved power-up. Read more: Newsletter #5.
And major props to Vijay Muni for keeping it real about using AI to fight burnout. He's showing us how to use technology to stay energized and focused, rather than running on empty by week's end.
The big takeaway? These innovative practitioners are proving that technology works best as your sidekick, not your replacement. They're demonstrating that the future isn't about choosing between high-tech and high-touch - it's about using tech to amplify those clinical skills and expertise that make therapy transformative. For too long technology has overlooked the experiences of clinicians. No more!
To our entire community of forward-thinking providers: thank you for sharing your journeys and showing us how to level up while maintaining that essential human connection that makes rehab therapy unique.
Now go enjoy that turkey - you've earned it! 🦃
See you in two weeks for our regular format,
Eddie
